The Challenge

PT Sinar Powerindo Utama, known as SPU, is a trusted sub-contractor formwork company established on 1996. The company has been helping main contractors and property developers in formwork building construction. Some of the projects are Pacific Place Shopping Mall, Emporium Pluit Mall, Mercure Hotel, Casa de Parco, Belmont Residence, Kemang Village, Kota Kasablanka Shopping Mall and the most recent PIK Mall. The company is well-establshed, however its identity and branding has not been modernised.

Our Approach

Creating a new logo, identity and company profile of SPU was a fun challenge. The owner would like the new logo to be easy to understand, as their audience and market segment are mainly older generations, men, and contractors. Our team designed the new identity and logo as simple and modern as possible, creating a new image of the company. The meaning behind SPU logo is always becoming larger or greater, with the yellow underline element is created to define ‘light’ (sinar) from PT Sinar Powerindo Utama.

The Result

With the new image, identity and company profile, SPU successfully attracts not only current markets but also new potential markets. The projects’ size and number increases with the new image of company profile that is more trusted.
